Jay Z Celebrates 40th in Style

Over the weekend Jay Z celebrated his 40th birthday at Casa de Campo resort in the Dominican Republic.
As expected his Queen B(eyonce) was right at his side as guest of honour along with the Rap superstar’s mother. Big names in attendance included label mate; Kanye West, as well as appearances from Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, Alicia Keys, Oprah, Lil Wayne and Kate Hudson.

Jay Z’s known for being an avid fan of American gagster movies, so it’s only right he party followed the theme of classic American gagster film, Scarface.
Entertainment on the night included music from DJ Cassidy, a performance from synchronised swimmers, fireworks and an impromptu performance of Empire State Of Mind from Jay Z and Alicia Keys.
To ensure entry was permitted only to those who were personally invited, guests were made to use a password ‘Bye, Bye Blackbird’ [famous line from Public Enemies], according to The Sun.
Unfortunately for us all guests were made to leave phones/cameras at the entrance so there’s no photos for us to have a peak at.
